The Air We Breath:
The County's Official Plan signify County Roads 10, 11 and 18 that surround East Lake as Tourist Corridors and Scenic routes: the truth is that they are also pollution corridors that have had a 71 % increase in traffic from 1999 to 2004 and more than 50% of that traffic is from June to September. The old Hyatt Factory, Cherry Valley : Friends of East Lake made a request on June 21, 2006 to the County of Prince Edward under the Freedom of Information Act to determine if the old Hyatt Factory shore land in Cherry Valley recently sold by the County was in fact cleaned up since the original contamination report filed in the early 1980's. Sold but not cleaned-up.
